The strange death of Alfalfa (Little Rascals)

On screen, the Little Rascals shared adventures which usually had a happy ending. However, in real life, many of the kids from the Our Gang comedies grew up to face their share of tragedy. Case in point, Carl "Alfalfa" Switzer. Alfalfa was arguably the most popular and iconic of all the Rascals. But the fame of a child star is often fleeting and Alfalfa's life came to a strange and violent end in 1959.
